LEED Gold

As a LEED Gold Certified Project, One Sugarloaf Centre was designed and constructed to improve performance related to energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of our natural resources. These measures, while environmentally friendly, also economically benefit the building's tenants and owners by reducing utility costs and other operating expenses.

Energy and water conservation initiatives employed at OSC include:

  • energy-efficient infrastructure
  • individual tenant metering to curtail tenants’ energy consumption and lower operating costs
  • building management and HVAC/lighting systems that reduce the building's energy consumption by 30 percent – more than 380,000 kilowatt hours per year
  • low-flow water fixtures and water-efficient landscaping that reduce the building's annual water consumption by 1.5 million gallons – more than 4,000 gallons per day
  • purchasing of green power, including wind, to offset the building's energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions
